How do I wire my China built digital tach to my First Street electronic ign. system?
I have it wired as per instructions, buy no function. It lights up but only shows some
8's.

The guys on this forum mostly deal in stuff built prior to the invention of the transistor, so you may want to jump over to the Hamb and pose your question. All 8s would suggest a bulb test function, or perhaps no signal input. Total guesses there.

Wind one of the wires around the high voltage coil wir. I got one from China and I got it to work. It reads double but that’s ok. Good luck.
