Re: Parts shipping ?
Bob,
If there is no rush, I believe there is an app/website where guys/gals bid on shipping jobs that you post. For the life of me I can't remember what it is called, but guys I know who have used it said it was easy as can be. It's generally commercial haulers that look and bid when they have extra cargo space during their route. I'll ask my buddy and post back what it's called. Instagram is full of guys advertising open trailers/truck going to various routes and willing to ship parts cheaply. Not sure if you are on Instagram or not. |

Re: Parts shipping ?
How about uship.com. I was told about it by a parts vendor out in Montana when I was interested in a frame he had for sale. I ended up finding a frame closer to home.

The odds of someone picking up at your house
or close to it and happening to be traveling anywhere near where your Buyer lives are slim. Jim |

Re: Parts shipping ?
Bob, Fastenal (not sure of spelling) used to have a shipping process for the load you've described. You would put the pieces of the bed on a pallet and secure with ratchet straps and their shipping network takes care of the rest. On a relative basis, cost was reasonable and service was good.

two options are Yesterdays Tractors and Greyhound. If you use Greyhound, make sure you have enough insurance on it- as they have lost about 3 out of 30 my my shipments in the past. that should be an easy run and another option is just listing the haul on CL that will fit in someones trunk and give then gas $ |

ronn, I checked their website and Fastenal is still shipping, but on a reduced service area basis re: Covid. The site allows you to check the "from and to" zip codes to see if they are an option. |
