Volt
Hello, I have another question.
I have a 28 'Ford A with 6Volt system, all original. In the state of running the generator but wavering about 9.8 to 10.8 volts. It will burn out all the bulbs. How much is ok? Sorry please, translator |

Re: Volt
6.6 Volts is all you should have with a 6 volt system. Much more than that will blow out bulbs. Where are you measuring the 9.8 to 10.8 volts?

Re: Volt
You also need to use an analog meter to get a good reading.

Re: Volt
Try using an "analog" meter or one with a pointer and scale. The digital meters can be sensitive to rf noise on the generator output and give an incorrect answer.
The analog meters work better because the mechanical pointer "damps" the noise out from the DC reading. Marc |
