Now that I have your attention...

I picked up and installed one of Mr. Rupert's Extreme Duty leakless water pumps. Its a really nice product. The recommendation is to add water pump lubricant to the water. I also have an old radiator that was flushed and pressure tested and found to have a tiny weep, maybe 2 oz in 24 hrs, towards the bottom. The experienced vintage radiator technician said a little Bar's Leak will solve that problem and not to worry. Here's my question....can I add both products to the water? I'm thinking cycle the Bar's leak in and then the lubricant after the Bar's leak does its job. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I think Aluma-seal or similar is best in a non pressure model a. You can use it with water pump lube with no trouble.

I don't know what the Barrs leak product over there is like but the one sold here is soluble oil (water pump lube) with dried chicken poo pellets in it. A can of that would give you both of the things you want and answeres your question about being able to use them together. The manufactureres do it so it must be OK.

Chrysler recommended adding 1/4 cup of Brake Fluid, for squeeky water pump seals.

It's not really that hard to solder the radiator. Also, antifreeze gives you both freeze and corrosion protection. The trick of soldering is to get it clean clean clean.
