Default Need trans help

Hey folks. My brother rebuilding an FOM trans for his '56, needs a new or good used front converter turbine for it.

The trans is out of my old parts car - a '56 Fairlane originally with a 312, code on the trans case tag is PAR-7003-F2 and based on what I'm seeing in the parts book the # for the turbine is B7A-7920-B. I posted a pic of the parts book illustration showing the turbine.

If anyone has or knows a source for one please let me know? He has some other bird-dog searches out but last time I talked to him, he hasn't had much luck locating one yet.

I haven't put it on the swap-meet place yet but if no luck in a few days will do so.

Thanks!

Have you tried these guy's ? http://www.greensalescompany.com/ They deal in N.O.S. Parts, and have many hard to find items. If they do not have it they may be able to recommend where else to look.

Yes I queried them. I have bought many parts from Greens in the past, and they had a few other pieces my brother needs for his '56 as well. They are on my 'A' list of contacts when looking for old Ford parts.

Unfortunately they didn't have the turbine. If all else fails he might take it to his local machine shop guy to see if it can be salvaged.

But still looking so if anyone can assist, LMK.

Thanks.

Have you tried ebay? They have almost everything.

Here is some possible sources

Adrian 570-709-0823 PA. Lots of Tbird parts

Tony's Classics 515-263-3606 Iowa

By the way - they are called converters.

I talked to him, it appears he has sourced one from a local yard.

BTW - Paul, the turbine (base # 7920) is an internal component of the converter assembly (base # 7902). This particular converter can be disassembled and repaired or rebuilt, unlike many converters that cannot be disassembled. He didn't need the complete assembly, only the turbine as shown in the parts illustration.

Thanks to all for the help.
