This was asked from a previous thread, well here it is. It's not the Larry Bailey collection (famous for quality cars) it's more of a Forrest Gump collection. Quantity over quality. Photos consist of: 1956 big window, Mullins trailer, 1940 Ford conv project car, the white convertible that you can't quite figure out what it is...it's a 1940 Mercury conv custom (more details later) 1932 2dr older 4cyl restoration, 1940 2dr project car, 1942-47 1/2 ton panel trk, 1942-47 1 1/2 ton cab waiting to become a 40 pickup. I've been selling primarily 32-48 Ford parts as my profession for the past 40 years, or as some of my family says, you don't have a real job.

Moving on to the cars I drive, the 1940 coupe was hit last may an 1/8th mile from home by a guy whose excuse was, he was late for church. The little green tractor is a Shaw Du all and uses a 37 Ford transmission and a narrowed banjo rear end with 40 Ford rear wheels, I use it to pull non running cars around. But I'm not through....you can't call yourself a collector if you don't have a few eyesores outside. Plus I am a member of the International Brotherhood of Hoarders

Right now just my daughters Ford Tempo that has some electrical problems, eleven 35 Ford wheels that I spent 2 days getting the rock hard tires off of, six 40 wheels, seven wide 5's waiting to take the old tires off and bits and pieces of 2 or 3 projects. Rod

Photos of the 1934 3 window as found at the Ashville Nc fairgrounds swap meet. I do not take credit for putting the 34 3 window together, it was done by Don Weber of Mo. More about the 1940 Mercury Convertible custom. This car was built by a man from Florida in the Mid Fifties. (originally from Ohio) I purchased it from his daughter and saw his drawn plans to build his dream custom. I know what your thinking but I applaud the man for the completion of his dream. Almost all the modifications are limited to the bolt on fenders, hood and grille. The rear fenders have 52-54 Ford fender taillight sections grafted and leaded on, all work is in lead. Does anyone from Florida (east coast) remember this car. It had some car show dash plaques from 1957.

I am glad I asked the question, wonderful stuff, I have been poring over the photographs, peering into the backgrounds but I keep coming back to the 32 3 window, such a stunning car.
Thanks for posting.
Gordon.

Partsman, thank you so much for taking the time to post this. Really enjoyed looking at these pictures while having my first cup of coffee this am. I would like to add a couple pictures here of my hoard of stuff, but I would need some time to establish little walking paths through my garages, attics, sheds and basement in order to take pictures. Maybe I could do this next week after Santa brings me even more stuff to find room to store .

Merry Christmas to you and yours,

I bought a really nice floor with the rear quarters attached from you, for my 46 convertible. I have it mocked up, but not finished.

Yes, all is for sale except about 6 cars and the NOS 39/40 frame. There is about 40 plus glass front lawyer book cases which I would like to get rid of, so I could put a car in that hole, might go shopping. This stash is proof, I am a very good at buying and a lousy seller. Thanks
