Default Filling Hairline Steering Wheel Cracks

A post in a recent FB thread mentioned a specific very thin CA adhesive that would wick into hairline cracks. I was not able to find that post by a search. I’d appreciate getting that info as I now have a 32 steering wheel with several such cracks. Thanks!

I don't think that method would be successful there is to much leverage
with the large wheel. You need to use a thin cut off wheel and cut about
a 5/16" wide groove down to the steel rim. Drill 1/8" holes in the sides
of the groove and push PC-7 into the groove and holes. Build PC-7 up a
little higher than the wheel and smooth with a wet finger slightly above
the wheel so you don't have to much sanding. Prime the whole wheel
two part epoxy, sand and finish with epoxy finish color. Sand with 1,500
or 2,000 and compound for a plastic look. G.M.

I second the PC7. Good stuff.

It is a two part filled epoxy paste. Kinda like JB weld but thicker; which makes it easier to build up thick sections.

Most hardware stores, at least around here, stock it.
