Yep, great looking '60 Starliner from back when cars had distinctive styling.
Back in the day, you could tell what make of car it was from a block or two away.

Today, you have to look close-up, and read the name on some...

Thank you Herman Munster for adding this photo of a 1960 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan, however, the photo was ginormous, so here it is again so that you can see all the car in the one picture. I think that these 1960 Ford are great looking cars. It is just a pity that they are not appreciated like other models?

Very nice red Sunliner. Back in the day, they never sat that high though.

1960 Ford Sunliner - very nice indeed. How is it that these 1960 Fords are not popular?
In my books, they are a great looking model. Love them.

Not only that, but they were a great looking car in an era of NOT great looking cars. Truly no offense intended, but the best you can say about the '60 Chevy was that it was at least better looking than the '59 Chevy...not a whole lot more, though. '59 and '60 Buicks were rather strange, too (though I liked them when I was a little kid.) The '59 Olds?? YIKES! The '61 Chevy was a visual flop, big time. And by 1960, the great looking Virgil Exner Mopar designs introduced in '57 were starting to look weird.

The lines of the '60 Ford were clean and cool. And they schooled Chevy on how horizontal fins and tail lights are SUPPOSED to be done.

It doesn't matter what angle you take photos of the 1960 Ford Sunliner, they are all look good.
These were very stylish cars for their era, and are still great looking cars today.

I think they are the best looking, of ALL the '60's Ford and all other domestic 60's cars.

Mine was a Galaxy tudor sedan and for me, I like the Galaxy roof style as good or better than the Starliner.

I also think the hood opening was the largest of all cars and made them a little easier to work on.

How rare is this, not one but two fully imported 1960 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertibles. These beauties are both in Australia. Just for the record, Ford Australia never offered the "true" 1960 Fords here, but offered the "carry-over" 1959 Fords with Canadian Meteor Trim, so that they appeared to be an "all new" model. This is all that we got here for 1960. Besides that, no Convertibles were ever offered here. If you wanted a Convertible, you had to make your own arrangements to import your own. Note that one of these 1960 Fords has been converted to Right Hand Drive. Enjoy.

Originals Sales Advertisement for the 1960 Ford Courier. I presume that this vehicle would not have a back seat?
If you wanted a Two Door 1960 Ford Station Wagon, you would purchase the Two Door Ranch Wagon, in which case, it would have a Rear Seat.
