Thumbs up 1952 Ford F-8 progress....

Got the heater tube, lower fender and some chrome and stainless installed.

I think '51 was the last year heavy trucks used the 337 Lincoln flathead V8, but not 100% sure. The OHV V8's for Lincoln came out in '52.

Great truck, one of the first trucks I drove was a 51 F8 dump, had 5 speed with 2 speed rear, air brakes. Great vehicle. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Yes, she's got a 5 speed transmission and a 2 speed rear axle. No air brakes. Won't be carrying heavy loads nor going very fast so I guess the braking system will do.
As Scicala stated the 1952 Ford F-7/8's got the Lincoln Y block. The F-7's got a 279ci y block and the F-8's like mine got the 317ci.

Very nice, I've had this F8 tractor 337 full air, 5sp OD x 2sp axle. laser straight no rust dings or dents for about 5yrs now. I want to paint it but we only have
a month of summer and thats pushin it (we take the plows of in June) lol
