Default 52 F1 rear spring shackle lock bolt issue

At the point in the build of restoring the rear leaf springs. Used NOS pins and reproduced locking bolts on the rear shackle. The locking bolts are pulling all the way through and I am bottoming out on the threads. Think my lock bolts are junk?

Do you have any of the originals left? Try them and see how they fit. A lot of the repo stuff is not up to par with the original hardware. Could also try to find some NOS ones also.

If you have access to a lathe you could make new pins, or have them made.

Or build them up with weld and re-machine to correct size.

OR buy them here:

or ask C&G if they have them.
