30 or 31 Cab
Hey guys, I've finally collected enough parts to put together a pickup, I love Model A pickups, this is just a driver so I'm not to concerned with it being a numbers matching 100 point pickup, I just want to drive it.
But for some reason my desires have changed and I'm in love with the square back 28/29 style cabs, I'm looking for someone that would trade me cabs, my cab for there cab, just a even trade .. But first I need to know what I have, and I'm not sure if my cab is a 30 or a 31 , the cab is a very solid cab, very little rust, with a fairly rust free gas tank. Can anyone tell me from these pictures what year this cab is ? And if anyone knows anyone that would want to trade me, please let me know .. Thanks .. |

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
It's a 30 cab and an early 31 cab. They pretty much interchange. Tell me about the box behind it. I may be interested in that.

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
It is from about June of 30,when they went from the square cab to the round,to about April-May of 31,when they went to the indented firewall.

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
Jim is right, I had one but could only stand driving it a couple of miles because I am 6-2 and leg room was too tight, just too dangerous to drive being a tall guy.

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
I used to be 6'2" too, and have put on many miles in my '31 wide bed. Thinner seat cushions are available, making for more leg room.

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
I've always encouraged people to sit in and drive a square cab pickup before putting time or money into one. Getting into one can be an acrobatic feat for some taller and or wider people.

Re: 30 or 31 Cab
LeBaron & Bonney make seat springs higher or lower than stock to suit your height.
