Default 1948 Ford Rear Window Trim

My 48 does not has the stainless trim around the rear window and I am looking to install it. Are all of the oval rear windows on 41-48 Fords/Mercs the same? Does anyone know a good source for the window rubber?

Thanks

As far as know, 46 to 48 Fords did not come with rear window stainless but that does not mean you cannot find one from a 41 ford or mercury. You should be able to find window rubber from Max or JobLot.

I'm not too concerned if the trim is correct for my year, I just like the way it looks. Was it stock on any Fords or was it just a Mercury trim piece?

It may have been stock on '42 Fords, don't know for sure but all the rear windows on the Ford and Merc from those years are the same size. I installed the stainless rear window trim on a '46 Ford TuDor Sedan; I got the rear window rubber from Dennis Carpenter.
