Question Looking for a brake mechanic

I have completed several restoration projects on my 1930 Deluxe Coupe, including interior restoration, new wiring harness, and other minor work. Brakes however are way outside my wheelhouse. Can anyone recommend a Model A brake mechanic say within 250 miles of Houston?

I believe you posted this same question over on one of the social media sites. I tagged a couple of people from there that might have known of someone that could help you. One of them worked for the Model-A restoration shop down there that was in Channelview but it closed probably 8-10 years ago. If they were unable to help suggest someone, depending on which side of town you are on, I would suggest reaching out to either the Greater Houston Model-A club or the Piney Woods clubs.

And, since you are willing to travel that far, you might also consider contacting the D/FW Model-A club and the San Antonio clubs also to see if they have any recommendations. As a shop owner, I will tell you that unfortunately most restoration shops are really far behind now with a severe wait-time, so IMO it will likely be in your best interests to seek someone who is very knowledgeable on Model-A braking systems and then wait on their timeline to work on your Coupe. Best wishes for you.

Try Bill Buckmeyer in Dallas Fort Worth. The man is a walking, talking Model A encyclopedia. Wayne
