Hi; Owned 15yrs after a 15yr search for a 114X Mercury Canadian coupe. These are Canadian Mercury ONLY for 3 yrs of manufacturer. These were sold by Canadian Mercury dealers as competiton to the Ford cars. They are are on a Ford frame hense the 114X designation for the 114" wheelbase. They are a pretty car-good looking short Mercury. I have replaced it with another black cpe [40] so it can go to a new caretaker. The car would judge in Touring Class [V8 Ford Club]. In the past yrs I have installed kingpins, brakes and tubing, Fryer water pumps , radiator and correct Canadian heads. Previous owner did a repaint, restored all trim and chrome, tires, body rubber [all], and gas tank. Still 6 volt with an Optima batt. These 114X's are especially unique and sought after by knowledgeable V8er's. Production numbers are generally below 500 for each body style and yr of manufacture. Pm for the album of photos.
