Yep, we are all temporary caretakers. Gives us all comfort to know Model As will be running long after the Starship Enterprise is mothballed.

Drive it, once the self drivers are the majority on the road the Govt. will say park it forever.

I saw a bumper sticker at "Crusin the Coast" that said " it's not a car if you can"t drive it"

I take the view that when the road are full of self driving cars, it will be easier to drive a car like a Model A because they will be programmed to avoid an accident. They will get out of our way. I suspect that what might end the time we can drive them will be the difficulty we will have in the far future (who knows how far) getting fuel for them once everything else has gone green.
The more these cars are driven, the more of them the general public see. I think that is more important than having a few people who are already interested in cars look at it at a show.

Drive it, let other people see it. I drive 5000 miles a year and enjoy it and have come to realize it really is a dependable car.

I have driven my 1929 Coupe just about every day for the past 11 months since getting her back on the road after a 10 year hiatus. I kept the registration and insurance paid the whole ten years it was in pieces all over my property and garage.....to spur me into finally putting her back together after finding a cracked front crossmember. Got the crossmember welded and started reassembling her two summers ago. Now I drive almost every day to the mailbox and back....and let her idle long enough to get up to good temperature. Very happy to wave at the people in the neighborhood. Eleven months, 140 miles, and never have left our small town.

drive it- because the next guy might "chop" it when you are gone.
