Default Ceramic or Johnson Paste Wax for Patina?

Greetings good folks,

I am undecided which product will give the best look and long term results for the patina on our Mercury M47 pickup.

A lot of folks prefer Johnson Paste Wax but how does a modern Ceramic Paste Wax compare?

Looking forward to hearing your experiences.

I would leave it. Best thing to maintain patina is to minimize its exposure to weather. Wax or anything else only ruins the look.

There is all kinds of info on the net.
Below is just one simple piece of info I found.

Do Ceramic Coatings Fade, Crack, or Turn Yellow?

This is a hot-button topic in the world of automotive detailing, so we’ll get straight to the point: no, ceramic coatings will not fade, crack, or turn yellow. So there you go!

Gibbs oil works great.

A really nice looking IH patina truck on on BAT used linseed oil and turps to seal and wet the dryness of the old paint and rust. There was some discussion on it and most were saying to use a microfiber to apply. Johnsons paste has a lot of turps in it.
