Help model a gas tank leak
Where the drop column mounts to the gas tank there are two rivots that hold it on, well a very small weep is getting through, enough to smell a small amount if fumes, probably not as safe as it should be. Anyway to fix this? Can it be sealed from inside or something? Seal-all on the outside not doing it. Any ideas?

Re: Help model a gas tank leak
no matter what some of the guys tell you there is no mickey mouse way to fix that problem other than removing the tank and having it boiled out and soldered, brazed or welded, and then have a late 31 steering colum brace installed, the one that attaches to the colum and then dash, it just takes a little work to install, it, the trouble starts when people use the steering wheel to get in the car, any glue, tape, fiber class or sealer will not hold when the steering wheel is used in this way, do it right, do it once, lol what is your car worth? think about that when you think about a quick fix, any thing else is just a temporary fix
