Default Size of the nut securing the pitman arm on a 34 box

can anyone tell me the correct size of the nut on the Pitman arm of a 34 steering box? Does 1 & 7/16 inch sound right?

That size fits the nut on mine. If that's what you are measuring it at, then yours should be the same as mine, and 1-7/16 is the right size. I found a used 1/2" drive snap on at a reasonable price on UK ebay.

Mart.
