Once it is installed and your pulley is marked per the instructions, if it does nothing else, makes it easier to find TDC without having to take the timing pin out and "hunt" for the divot in the timing gear each time.

I wondered why there was dead silence when I asked about fitting it to B Models.
Now I know why :-(
Putting it down to experience.
See post 34.

You also need to read post 40. The indicator works on a B, but if you use the "B" timing pin to initially set up the indicator, make your pulley mark at 19 degrees, not zero. The engine will then correctly be at TDC when your pulley mark is at the indicator "0". If using a B dizzy, 19 indicated crank degrees is your pin "zero".

The A dizzy manual lever range was 0-40 crank degrees. The B range was 19 initial plus another 17-18 or so if you force the centrifugal mechanism to it's limit. B theoretical total = 36-37 degree range. Post 34 is incorrect, the B runs in the same range, it just uses an advanced start point. Keep in mind that you will never run an A (or B) under load advanced anywhere near that theoretical limit.

I know this is an old post, but are these indicators available anywhere?
