Default Early Model A Banjo?

Have two banjos, trying to decide on one for my car. Both are Model A.

I noticed on the one I planned to use there are no stiffening top or bottom rib which the other one does have.

Is this less desirable/weaker? Is it an earlier banjo?

There are also no numbers stamped on it indicating a gear ratio on the bottom.

The early banjos are prone to crack. My advice is to use one with the support gussets.

There won't be any numbers stamped on Model A banjos showing axle ratios. That was started later on the Flathead V8 cars.

use the later banjo, not only because of cracking but the drive shaft/pinion carrier is different.

the early rear end has the pinion on the drive shaft and the later has the pinion on a separate carrier and is easier to change and set up.
