31' S/W Town Sedan Door Hinges
All 8 of the door hinges on my 31' s/w town sedan have slotted heads on the screws showing on the body side of the hinge and fasteners showing flush with the hinge on the door side. Did they come from the factory this way? This makes it necessary to remove the door trim to replace a hinge.

Well …
Slotted screws are correct and they have a big flanged cup washer behind them. They are often difficult to remove to to age and corrosion. Now as to having to remove door trim…..I don’t understand that part. Maybe a pic of what you have would aid. |

Re: 31' S/W Town Sedan Door Hinges
In most cases, the hinges on closed cars are screwed on at the door post but riveted to the door. Undoing those rivets and properly re-riveting them is not a job for the "faint-of-heart". Are your hinges worn or bent badly enough that you are considering removal & replacement?
