Default 48 F1 six cyl fuel line

I am on the assembly stage of my Dads 48 F1 pickup . It is a factory 6 cylinder , purchased a roll of new fuel line tubing from Carpenters Friday , got home straightened it & thought it looked smaller than original line , measured & sure enough original is 5/16" not 1/4".
Question is did all 48 pickups have 5/16 fuel line or just 6 cylinder models ? I am 98% sure it is original !!
Cheers
Tony

According to the Shop Manual, the line from the tank to the fuel pump was 5/16 and the line from the fuel pump to the carb was 1/4 regardless of engine.

I always thought just the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor was 1/4" like FortyNiner said.
