"Desperate in Maine", I haven`t received much information on my dilemma with the roadster front seat back rest to wrap-around shelf behind the seat. There must be someone or some place where info, or detail pictures of how this all comes together. If anyone has a 30` Deluxe Roadster that some pictures could be taken of this area would be immensely appreciated. Thank you.

Try calling Classtique Upholstery. Can't recall the owners name right now but in the past he has been very helpful to me over the phone. He may be able to email you pictures as well.

the seat back in both my 28 ute and 28 tourer are sprung and about 5 inches thick. I replaced the ute back with medium density foam about 2 inches thick and moved the seat back, modifying the seat frame. Entry/exit is easier.
I will do the same with the tourer except the back is partially wrap around. I have removed the rear set of springs from the seat and again modified the frame which, like the ute provides more foot room for entering and exiting the vehicle.
The fact it is partially wrap around is presenting a little difficulty at the moment.

I was watching your post, also hoping that someone would post some photos. I'm enclosing the pictures I took of my 31 Deluxe Roadster disassembly. You can see that it's not original, but it might be close to how the job was originally done. Hopefully, someone has better pictures of the original upholstery for this area, as I'm going to be in the same boat as you, soon. Hope these help some.

Thank you for the pictures-they answer a lot of my questions. One last one though- in your third photo, there appears to be some kind of small bracket attached to the center screw. What is that?

That is a hook for the tab on the curtain light. I stabilizes the curtain light when the top is folded. The tab is on the bottom center of the curtain light frame.

Brent, this is a kit that I bought from LeBaron Bonney and installed it in Sep.1995.
