Model B waterpump
Anyone know if the B pump uses a thrust washer like the model A between the impeller and rear bushing?
Thanks Randall |

Re: Model B waterpump
Yes it does but it's a different part number. The 1932-34 number is B-8513.

Re: Model B waterpump
It uses two of the fiber B-8513 washers, one on each side of the impeller on the shaft.

Yep, up against the surface of the round recess in the head casting for the end of the shaft. Look in the '32 chassis parts catalog and you will note that two of the washers are specified.

Re: Model B waterpump
I understand that the B-8513 washers are made of some kind of fiber material. I have to wonder why Ford didn't use a washer made of metal?

Re: Model B waterpump
Is there a rebuilding kit for the pump and a diagram of the internal parts?
