Default Zenith float

I ordered new floats after I installed it I found outthe float leaked. So I called the guy where I bought it & he replaced it with another one. So before I installed the second one I put it in warm water to check for leaks & that one also leaked. They are both leaking from the same spot on the top where they soldered the hinge to the top of the bowl. Does anyone know what I can spray on them to stop the leak or do I just throw them away & hope the third will not leak.

Is it a pinhole leak? Why not just add a little solder where it leaks. It would probably only take a very small amount.

I'd try using a butane pencil torch....but BEWARE......too much heat and every existing solder joint will leak. Those things can be a bear to fix. I know. Trying to relocate the hinge bracket is next to impossible!

As far as i know the only floats on the market right now are the ones made overseas and they have always been prone to leak. Bratton's has been trying to get their US supplier making them again, but have had no luck getting any response from the shop.
