Default License plate holder identification

I bought a license plate holder at a swap meet thinking it was for a 1935-37 vintage pickup. Oblivious to there being different ones for different years/applications the one I have has a 2” offset. The one on my sedan has a 1” offset and so should the pickup.
Could be it is for a commercial truck? or ???

Thanks!
