Here's a link to all the vehicles on The Walton's tv show with the series and episode number as well

https://www.imcdb.org/m68149.html

It tells me that it was a '33 P/U

I place the blame for my addiction squarely upon the shoulders of John Walton Sr and his 29 AA 1 1/2 ton express. Within a year of the show's debut I found and bought a 29 AA, but it was a stakebed. Had the same rear fenders and long running boards with single rear wheels. And yes, even with the singles on the rear (28 and 29) ford rated and sold them as a 1 1/2 ton truck. There were 17 leaves on the cantelevered rear fore and aft springs. And did I mention that my dad and I were glued to the set for every episode? I have owned 4 AA's since.

How about Briscoe Darling and his truck on The Andy Griffith Show?

Great bluegrass band. And real musicians, except Denver Pyle, he was only an actor in the band. The real Darlings were actually called the Dillards. You can read about them here.

Folks,
Yes maybe some seeds were planted from that show. Mine is a couple years newer but probably would have fit right in there somewhere too!

At car shows I do get comments that it reminds folks of that show also.
Like a way back machine, it trasports me and passangers, back to days when life was in the slow lane.
Regards,
Chris

Nice truck! Even has the double sided arrow indicators. Would be hard to pass that up. Course I wouldn't mind the AA Express. I have the opportunity to get a hold of a '30 AA grain truck that has local history. Have to keep my sights on the restoration of my '52 F3 Marmon Herrington first.
