Schneider 258F Y Block Cam
Has anyone put the Schneider Racing 258F camshaft in their Y Block? I have yet to install mine, and would like to hear from someone who is running it.

Re: Schneider 258F Y Block Cam
If you put the spec's it would probably get some comments from people with similar cams.
Or go to John Mummert's site and compare to his cam listings and recommendations. I don't know who grinds his (my last one was a Clay Smith). I've run 3 of John's cams, 270 and 280, and I find his description to a little conservative. But I'm using manual transmissions and I'm used to longer cams. Half way down is the chart. http://www.ford-y-block.com/valvetrain.htm There's also a current discussion on lifters going on at yblocksforever, worth a read before you do the install. http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/Topic152958.aspx |

Thanks. I'm hoping to hear from someone who has Schneider's 258F camshaft in their Y.
