Re: Tight engine
Oddly enough I have done the same thing . Make sure the engine won,t start ,no ignition ,or if it started you might get hurt with a spinning drill .Don,t think a half inch drill is big enough.

Re: Tight engine
I would probably oil the cylinders as mentioned before, also drop the rod and main caps and put some oil on the bearings, leave the plugs out and pull it down the road.
After 1/2 mile or so, let it cool down and see if the starter will turn it with the plugs out. If so, I would put the plugs in and pull it and try to start it. It will probably loosen right up. Run it easy and keep a close eye on the temperature. Shut it off and let it cool after 1/2 hour and do it again. Running a little farther each time. |

Re: Tight engine
I use to sell those drills. They are not toys, you have to be really careful using them.
If you are in a close space and something goes wrong, you are going to get hurt. Please be careful. |

Re: Tight engine
Lubriplate likes to separate when left sitting, the oils run out leaving the clay behind, or if in a jar or can the oil comes to the top leaving the clay at the bottom.

Re: Tight engine
Be prepared for a lot of smoke from the oil being put in the cylinders. I started an engine that had sat in a container for 25 years, my friend had poured oil down the cylinders once a year. When we started the car, there was a shot gun explosion out the tail pipe as 25 years of mouse nest came flying out 20 yards. Best laugh I had in years.

Re: Tight engine
About 5 years ago I started a Model A engine that was turned into a power plant. Mice had build homes in the flywheel and exhaust, so when the engine fired up ground meat came out the hole in the bottom of the flywheel cover, and burnt meat came out the exhaust.
