Re: Gas leak
Compression fittings do not require any sealant, just lube the threads a little for easier turning of the nut.

Re: Gas leak
What do you mean by threaded? Like a pipe thread? Or like a flare fitting, which doesn’t need anything but oil.

Re: Gas leak
The main gas valve coming out of the gas tank is the only threaded fitting I can think of. It has a ¼" pipe thread. I used "Yellow" pipe tape.

Re: Gas leak
I use Aviation-Permatex thinned with a little denatured alcohol. On all my "A" gaskets including threads.

Re: Gas leak
I had a car that had a hole in the bottom of the gas tank from being hit with a rock We were miles from anyone and it was leaking fast .I had a tube of Seal All ,so I grabbed a cleanex soaked it with the glue ,held it for a few minutes and it stopped leaking .We drove the car for a few years and I never touched the tank again .we allways carried a tube in the trucks for radiater leaks .
