upper distributor plate
When was the cast upper distributor plate changed to the stamped plate? Is there any value in saving the old cast plates?

Re: upper distributor plate
The best thing is that the points block is part of the plate and can't get cocked or move . I sold a couple of used forged upper plates a few years ago . I probably should have kept them

Re: upper distributor plate
Period restorers (i.e. Fine Point) may want the forged style. As competition at that level is rare and plates are relatively plentiful - your pricing will follow market demand.
I.e. probably not worth much beyond new repop - which follow pretty closely originals - to include the stamped "SP" and other original details. Joe K
