Karl,
When you get fed up enough, I'll take the car off your hands!! All jokes aside if I wasn't thousands of miles away I'd come over and help. |

Re: 34 Issues Ongoing -Video
Have you changed out the distributor for another even its not the 40b,
try another coil and condenser, also hot wire it from the coil terminal direct to the battery ,only run it for a short time as no resister will be in the circuit. Rig gravity feed to the carb ,bypass the fuel pump, Pull the plug wires out of the harness, Make sure the terminal plates are not shorting out, Rig up a remote coil, the old can type and if you haven got a remote adaptor for the distributor ,cut open a buggered coil and drill up through from the brush end and with a small bolt mount a socket for the ht wire to the coil. It should not be that hard to work out what's the problem, some times they are hard to find, but always a simple thing. , keep us posted. there enough brains on this forum to fix any thing. Lawrie |

Re: 34 Issues Ongoing -Video
Lawrie, if you read Carls previous posts you will see that he has done all of these things before. What he could do is dribble some fuel in the top of the carb when the engine starts to stumble and if it picks up then there is a carb fuel delivery problem. I know it has had some sort of condenser replacement before but easy to try another one. Regards, Kevin.

Re: 34 Issues Ongoing -Video
I know your car is in the shop but I too believe there may be a fuel problem. The double ball S type Carb inlet valve are sensitive to dirt and can hang up. The top of the Carb can be removed and the air from the fan blocked and you can watch what happens to the fuel level. IMO the Ford style valve with the needle style valve is the way to go.
