Purchased my Dream '31 TuDor
Purchased my dream Tudor. Been looking for the right one for about 3 years and over that time looked at 100's. As luck would have it one of the members of my club decided to sell theirs. It is restored to show room new. It won first place in touring class at the 2005 Indy MARC Nation Meet and it is still in show condition. Today I waxed the rear end, drive tube, backing plates and radius rods as well as the bottom of the splash shields, yes it is that nice. LeBaron Bonney interior etc. etc. I have four other As, '29 Coupe, '29 CCPU, 30 AA SWB and a '31 AA LWB, but they are all two seaters and no place to fit the Grand Kids. For years I considered purchasing one and restoring it my self, have done many classic Mustang fastbacks and As over the years, but at 72 decided that I would rather buy what I wanted and drive it away, and there is no way that I could have restored it better. Not sure who is happier the Grand Kids or me..

Congratulations.....a beautiful Model A! I also chose to buy a very nicely restored Town Sedan about 13 years ago, and have never regretted the decision and also love driving our granddaughters in it. Very nice!

Very nice. A wise decision to purchase a "known restored car" if you are not into a restoration. Am your age and a restoration would be a challenge for me . So, drive and enjoy it.

Re: Purchased my Dream '31 TuDor
I always preferred a Coupe, but my second choice would be a Tudor! Front seats can be "manipulated", for a better fit & the loooong side window affords the rear passengers a GREAT view.
When I was just a DUMB Kid, with a Dog, Chief & Momma drove an ALL BLACK, '29 Tudor, for MANY YEARS. We went "everywhere" when touring was not even talked about. I tole them, "This loooong back window is my window to the WORLD"! Chief kept his cars GOOD & I never remember having trouble, on the road. Fortunately, his good Friend had a Radiator Shop! Funky radiators were a BIG problem, with many cars. Bill W.

Re: Purchased my Dream '31 TuDor
Hello Holdover, you made a good decision to buy a restored car. I am 74 and purchased a 1931 Cabriolet five years ago (my favorite body style) which was running but needed wood and rust repair. I am well on my way but I feel like I am running out of time, it is getting more and more difficult to climb under it when I wish I was in it! Good luck, Ed

Remember, it's not a "put down" to buy an already restored car. Some don't have the skills & means, to do a complete restoration.
