Are Hobbyaire supplied air respiration still be produced? If so who sells them? Thanks

They are still commonly available just type in a search on Amazon or Ebay. They are worth every penny.

They are good and will protect your lungs, especially if you are using the newer paints. They are what fire departments went to many years ago(FD equipment uses high pressure air bottles these use low pressure fan to supply), positive pressure. Wearing one there is no way that any other gases will enter your lungs because more air is entering the mask than needed and what is not used is bled off through the one way valves, hence the Positive Pressure concept.

I have and use one that I built myself before anything was available, same type of system, just as effective but being cheap, or as a friend said one time thrifty. Mine cost about 150 to build with a 75' air supply hose, so the air intake for breathing is in a safe non contaminated area away from where you are spraying, sanding etc. Before I built this one I used my FD air pack. I bought the fresh air system in the link below about 8 years ago. It works great for spray painting parts/cars and also sandblasting. It provides fresh air from up to 25' away. I have used it to paint parts and three vehicles so far. It is also economical.
