use the lower hose for an 8ba as they have a slight offset that makes a good fit

Or just go to your local NAPA and buy straight hose, available by the foot.

One thing that REALLY turns me off is the presence of flex hoses on an otherwise well-built car.

DON'T DO IT!

I agree with that statement. Just not correct to have flex hoses on an ORIGINAL vintage Ford. If its modified or Hot Rodded then it does not matter. Regards, Kevin,

Go to NAPA with the dimensions and speak with a counterman that knows how to navigate an actual book.
The gates book shows hoses by dimensions, both molded and flexible.
It truly is that simple.

Just curious... why do you desire flex hoses?

Listen to Kube. Take a little time, do some research and find the right molded hose. Flex hose is for rookies.

I looked in Gates and Dayco catalogs and the shortest 2" x 2" flex hose they
show is 9 1/2" long. Gates #26507
