Default Model A ID

Is there a definitive way to determine whether my 31 coupe is a standard or deluxe?

Arm rests in the back seat and dome light would be Deluxe.

The big question is did it start out life as a standard or deluxe coupe.

Deluxe coupe also had wood grain dash and window trim.

Aloha, Thanks for the responses. I'm no expert, but this car seems to be mostly original, She has cowl lights and a dome light but no wood grain dash or roll down rear window. Were the lights options on a standard?

It is possible to order options at the dealer. But what it sounds like is that someone optioned the car later in life. Up to you to keep going or revert back.

I'm sure more than a few folks have upgraded their cars over the years.

Two-bulb headlight reflectors would make it a standard, if they're known to be original. Dome light is tough to add by itself, but not impossible.

Aloha, Not sure what you mean by two-bulb headlight reflectors. Several people have mentioned the dome light. If this is an original factory dome light does that make my car a deluxe? What about wind wings? My car has upper and lower brackets on both doors. Was this a factory option or a dealer add on?
Thanks again

Two light reflectors had an extra socket for the park lamp bulb . Standard models that didn't use cowl lights had the park lamps bulbs in the headlamp reflectors .

Attached photos to illustrate Purdy's post. This is a 2 bulb reflector, there is only one bulb for a deluxe car as it had the second light as a cowl light. The reflectors should have a mirror like surface but a tarnished one photographs better.
