A couple things to try:
Log out and log in again.
Check the file size and type for your images.

Here is one at 34k.

I like Photobucket personally. No file size restrictions.

Hey Tiny! I manipulated that photo with Snapseed, which suggestion I got from you. I wish that app was available for iMacs.

I assume you have already tried it but if not set your camera at the lowest resolution and take a picture. See if you have trouble posting that picture. Also note that there is a test forum under the to the editors forum where you can practice things like posting pictures.

I got a new Iphone with a much larger screen. It makes a BIG difference, pun intended. Its a great app, I'm glad you like it.

I don't like hosting sites such as photobucket because all it takes is one minor change on their part and all of your pictures will disappear from Fordbarn. I like to stick with posting directly to Fordbarn because I know they will probably be there for as long as Fordbarn exists. I find it frustrating to go into the archives only to find pictures missing. As far as file size restrictions go I find the photos that I post on Fordbarn are of sufficient resolution to illustrate what I am trying to say. If someone really needs a high resolution copy they can PM or email me since many of my originals are taken with a 21 megapixel camera. By the way, I like the picture and the effects that have been applied to it.

I have used Photobucket for hosting pictures for at least 13 years now and I have never had an issue with this happening. Pictures I posted 10 years ago on forums are still there. We all have our methods and if they work, great, but what you describe has never been an issue for me.

Great, that speaks highly of Photobucket. I had heard good things about them.

The only problem I have ever had was when I moved pictures in Photobucket. If you move a file it gives it a new address. I haven't had an issue in the over 10 years I've used it.

There are countless older threads on both Fordbarn and the HAMB where the photos that were inserted using a service such as photobucket have disappeared, for whatever reason. Whether it be that the poster fails to maintain their account, systems change, picture limits exceeded, death or whatever, it seems to happen lots. It's very frustrating to spend time searching old threads and finding one after the other missing important pictures that are key to the post being made. I agree with Charlie, load them into Fordbarn and they'll likely be there as long as Fordbarn itself is around. On occasion I've seen the poster use both methods on the same post which seems like it should keep everybody happy.

"Are you getting a "Security Token Error?"
If so, please excuse it... It's a bug. Typically you get that error when uploading images. It just means that the images you are uploading are too large in file size.

That's my experience top, Mike. You can reduce the file size of your image in most photo software including Microsoft Paint, which is on just about everyone's computer if they use Windows. For a 5-6MB photo, I found that reducing it to somewhere in the 20 - 30% range gives me a file that uploads OK. The FordBarn upload process is a bit random as to the final size of your image when viewed in the thread, so experiment a little and you'll find what works for you.

Another way to reduce the size of your file is to crop it until it just shows the point you are trying to illustrate. Sometimes this will work better than reducing the size of the whole photo.

I have used a program called EZTHUMBNAILS for more than 10 years.

http://www.fookes.com/easy-thumbnails

When installing (be sure to read the prompts and say yes to the "make a short cut to the desktop" question.) A red, white and blue icon appears on desktop.

1. Open program, go to "settings tab" and set image size to 1024 by 768. This setup is only needed the first time you use program.

Note: The program defaults to 200 by 150 size so if you forget to correctly setup this step on installation ... all you get is very small photos that do not enlarge.

Then you need to re-run the program on the large files after changing to 1024 by 768 mode.

This is a size that displays on monitors without running off the page. It also provides enough resolution to show a good quality photo on any monitor. It also reduces the size of the files to about 200 kbytes so you can email them easily or post on FB.

2. I make a folder to store the large photos directly from the camera and store them there. Always keep the large photos incase you need the higher resolution like if you need to edit the image like cropping or to print a calendar sized image. Cropping reduced size file will yield a poor photo when you print or edit the photo file. This is why I store the original large files in the directory.

3. Now highlight all the images.

4. right click and a menu will appear asking it you want to resize all images using EZTHUMBNAILS.

5. Another option is to open EZTHUMBNAILS from the desktop icon.
Go to files tab at the top and navigate to the directory where you stored the large files. Select "make all option".

Smaller photos will appear in the directory as the name of large file with " tn_ ". appended to the front of file. Large files will be unchanged.

These smaller files will post on FB or can be easily emailed.

I just downloaded EZTHUMBNAILS, so here is a trial run.

Well, this isn't good. It made the thumbnails, but they won't enlarge.

Tiny,
You're a GENIUS! What is your technique for making the pic look OLD & SCRATCHED?
I FINALLY found black & white film for my old Pentax 35 MM, but haven't shot any pics yet.
By the way, the Kid in your Avatar looks JUST like my Son, Greggs' TWIN!

TomW! NICE HI Cub Cadet... Looks an lot like the 66' my Dad had... I recall him taking it apart --totally and painted in our basement... Then he got the idea of reassembling it there... Problem was the tires made it too wide to roll up the basement stairs... His solution was to make plywood wheels... It worked and I recall him laughing as he started it in the living room and drove it with those plywood wheels... I thought my Mom was going crazy... It was funny... I great memory! Thank for the shots of it...
