What would be a fair price for this 32. The owner is asking $32K
4 cyl stock car, running, no rust. |

If I were selling it, that would be a fair price.

Sounds ok based on the pictures but you really need to see it and drive it. Just looking at the pictures you can't tell if the fenders are fiberglass and the engine is on its last legs. Don't buy it without seeing it in person. How come there aren't any pictures of the engine and undercarriage? If you get it start by getting rid of those headlights.

Saw it in person. No rust, all steel, small ding in passenger rear fender lip, interior is OK.
Saw a YouTube video of it running. Too much snow up here to take it for a ride. Having trouble getting past the red color. Scott |

Well, that alone is reason to pass. If it bugs you, paint is another $5-10k depending on how much prep it needs.

Ditto on the color. The spare mount on the fender just kills it for me. Interior is too light a color and has issues. $35K should buy you the 32 Tudor of your dreams right now. It's still a buyers market.

Tudor of your dreams. No roadsters or 3/5 windows without issues for $35K.

Re: What's it worth 32 tudor
There is nothing wrong with the fender mtd spare, it was a option. Thats a very nice car and if it is a good as it looks, could be a fun tour car. Thing about 32's, 20K and below, the butchers will gobble them up to ruin them. All in all, east of CA, they are just not out there for sale unless they have already been ruined with garbage truck engines and easter egg colors. What I am saying, 20K might buy a unrestored car and it would be hard to do the rest for 15K. It all depends on what you really want.

Just saw a real nice one sell in Portland, Oregon for $34,500. Much nicer than the one in your photos. Check this site; www.memorylaneclassiccars.com. for the one that sold.

Maybe, you could show this to the seller, for him to see what the professionals would sell for $34,000.00, for a 1932 Ford Tudor. It might help. ........... MIKE (mikeburch) |

Re: What's it worth 32 tudor
Are we all talking about the one of the site that is black and has Halibrand-style wheels on it? Well, that car appeals to a different market for it seems like it has been hot rodded a bit.
The car the OP is looking at it is closer to stock, albeit a 4 cly. car. This topic is near and dear to me for my father has a '32 Tudor that is "stock looking" except a 59 AB and '39 trans, 16" wire wheels and the battery on the fire wall (never understood this). My father's car has some neat options on it like the dual gauge, locking spare tire hub cap and gas cap. All the parts on the car are Ford and no repop parts were used. 45+ year old black lacquer paint with red pin stripes that his father laid down on the car. Looking forward to the day it will be mine. |

Re: What's it worth 32 tudor
It's all about what it is worth to YOU. I always look at what I would be willing to pay for a car versus what the asking price is. if I can negotiate the price down....closer to what I am willing to pay.... then....it's just a matter of whether I am willing to walk away from it for XX$..... or... is owning/enjoying the car worth that extra cost. Also, cars are beginning to appreciate right now ...in a few short years the $32K may seem like a bargain. As a matter of fact,.... "parking" $32K in a 32 Tudor, that will probably be worth more down the road, is a better return on investment than leaving it in the bank for the same amount of time at 1% interest.... Just sayin'

Like they say with a lot of old Ford stuff, you didn't pay too much, you paid too soon.

Re: What's it worth 32 tudor
I couldn't resist
Bottom line....it's worth whatever offer the seller accepts! Everything else is just opinions and we all know what is said about opinions!! That said....MY OPINION In the scheme of the 32 kingdom either based on the "GENERAL" desirability scale or just pure production numbers and availability numbers the 2 door sedans is near the bottom. We could start with the B400's, sedan Delivery, 3 window coupes, roadster's etc etc and work your way down and argue over what is "MORE" desirable, so strike one. with that said, next it is a 4 cyl, (which I don't mind as much) but "MOST" want the V8, strike two. Third, for me would be the color, strike three (unless it was a really sweet deal for me in the $15,000 range, I couldn't stand it nor paying that kind of money for a car that I would practically have to pull a part to repaint and really at that point RESTORE! Because the interior doesn't look right either). Next is the number of "OTHER" qualified candidates that are interested in an original 32 two door that have 30+ thousand dollars to drop on a car. I would think that it would be a great day if this car brought $25,000. FOR ME... at $15,000 to $18,000 I'd be game, leave it alone and tour and enjoy it, anymore and I'd have to REALLY want it for some reason, any thing less than that number and I'd consider the "REPAINT" and restore as much as $10,000 more than the purchase would get me.....and judging by the cost of a quality paint job that doesn't leave much for the call to LeBaron Bonney for the interior redo.... |

Re: What's it worth 32 tudor
I may have missed something cause the car I saw on that Oregon state site was truly butchered, garbage truck engine, wrong axles steering and so on, not an original car and one that will have a price based on current style which may not be what it is. Price I saw was 47K also. A streetrod that is out of style looses a lot of premium price.
