Default Fuel Filter

I have had a problem with fine particles of rust passing thru the Tank standup screen and the screen in the sediment bulb and into the carb.
Most of the fine junk stays in the bottom of the sediment bulb. I though all of it did until I started have engine stalling problems. Removing the Carb I found the same small particles in the float bowl and the GAV valve bore.

I found this filter at NAPA; part-number 3039. It fits in the recess at the top of the glass bulb and is held in place with the bulb gasket. I removed the sediment bulb screen. All the fuel is now filtered by the paper filter. I bought three of them and carry one with me in the truck. Snyders and Bratton's also carry this filter and theirs includes the gasket.

You sure that is the correct part number? I think the correct filter #3039. The WIX equivalent is # 33039.

Must be a typo, as the link and the picture both show #3039.
