HI to Lawson and others with rattley doors,I think I have discovered the culprit,the check strap.The other day I wanted to get around the front of my pickup,so opened drivers door to roll it back a bit,there is a slope outside my shed and the truck took off jamming me between the wall and drivers door,my body becoming the brake, something had to give and the check stap broke.On removing the trim to repair the checkstrap I noticed two pins either side of the hole in the door frame these must have originaly held a rubber plate or some such to stop the checkstrap jumping around,I believe that cars will be the same.Someone on the barn will have a part number for this bit or at least a picture.I'm going to try and make up something out of mudflap rubber or plastic.Open your doors and shake the strap it moves heaps,and will be worse when the door is closed.Sorry for the long rant hope this helps.Cheers Tony.PS my body survived with a bruise or two,had a laugh to myself after I'd calmed down.

Tony: Give me a few days and I will see if I cannot come up with some part numbers to fix the problem. You will find what you need, other than the strap itself, in a Model A Catalogue. I have all of that stuff ready for the book but unfortunately I would have to copy and paste a couple of pages in its present format.
