My latest car accessory - a (sort of) historically correct Car Phone
After adding a radio, I guess the next thing to do was to add a Car Phone.
So - I spent the long Memorial Day weekend putting this together: added the brass hardware to a store-bought box, made the foam-padded compartments to hold everything, and wired in a battery pack and on/off switch to power the Bluetooth Gateway that makes this all possible. End result - I now have a working rotary dial Candlestick Phone for my passengers enjoyment. I don't think I could get away with using it while driving - it's hardly a hands-free device. Now that is American ingenuity at work! Now you can call ahead to the upstairs Maid to prepare the evening bath!
