Default 1937 trunk on a 36 slantback?

Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has ever attempted to install a 1937 (or other year) trunk on a 36 slantback? I am not too kewl with no trunk access, and I can probably do it fine, just curious if anyone has done it, and if so, how did you do it and what would you do different?

Al, simple answer, trade your rare slantback for a common humpback. Everyone happy.

Hey Alan,
Nah...no dice...I would just like to have a little bit of trunk room that you don't have to climb in the back to access. Maybe even a coupe trunk?

I know I would never do that to one of my '35 slantbacks. I do have an accessory luggage rack and I can put a trunk on that for carrying extra things. I have seen what's known as a boulevard sedan that was made from a tudor slantback sedan. A rear door was added that made it look like a sedan delivery with rear side windows. There was one for sale here and on epay. Another possibility is to trade your '36 for a '37 slantback that already has a trunk lid. I know what you are probably thinking......a lot of help these guys are......right?

I suppose the best solution would be to find a trunk assembly from a '36 phaeton, but good luck with that!
