Default grease seals for 34 rear end

What is the best way to remove and install the grease seals to the 34 rear end? One in each half of the differential and one in the drive line. What techniques or tricks are the best?
Thanks,
Harold

MAC and others sell the install tool that you attach to a pipe that allows you to install the seal. The removal is from the brake side and I have used a screw driver end to catch the lip to remove by pushing to the differential side..

For the torque tube buy a 1 1/4 inch PVC schedule 40 pipe slightly longer than torque tube. From the differential end insert the pipe and tap out the seal and bearing sleeve out the transmission end. BESURE to remove the "C" clip on the transmission end of the to remove the drive line.

The MAC tool is listed right next to the seal listing .. Model A suppliers also have it

28 to 48 all have the same type seals in the rear end housings and torque tube.

How do you get past the bearing in the middle of the torque tube to push out the grease seal?

the grease seal is toward the differential relative to the bearing. When you unhook the tube at the differential you slip the 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe in towards the seal. Tapping out the seal pushes out the bearing sleeve and if still there the bearing
