Default Flatheads at Circle-M Ranch on May 10th

Some friends and I attended the Circle-M Ranch Reunion on May 10th. The track is located in Auburn, PA. They originally raced from 1955 to 1958. My '34 Ford coupe #78 raced there originally in 57 and possibly 58.
The Mates family that owns the land, cleared the track out and have been holding a vintage event there for the past few years.
We took the #78 coupe and also my flathead powered roadster on a '32 frame. My friend Jeremiah Thomas took his roadster on an A frame with a '39 221" flathead.

I figured you guys would enjoy seeing some of the photos.

Going for the pass on the outside!

Flathead V8 powered non Ford

Out of one car and into the other... all day!!

And the best photo of the day in my opinion.... something I've wanted for some time now. Got the left front off the ground a bit in the corner!

I hope you all enjoy
Zach

If any of you are in the area of York Springs, PA. The Jalopy Showdown is this this coming Saturday, May 17th. They will be having track time for vintage race cars at the show. Also quite a few period hot rods and customs if you're into them.

Very cool Zach! We did a similar thing at the Fantasy Speedway in Maine a couple years ago. Getting to drive some of those old stock cars was amazing fun.

Looks like a no go for me this year on the Jalopy Showdown. I have to start removing the rear from my car today to begin making some repairs. Not sure what I am going to find or how long it will be down .

X2. Seems strange to wish people had not cut up some of those old jalopies and made stockers out of them

When I was in high school, early fifties, I would ride the city bus, about fifteen miles, to watch such races. I never got to race, but, bought a '29 "A" roadster in 1961. I still have it.
Even then, when the old Fords were worthless, I hated to see them get destroyed.

Neat stuff.
Here's a partial video of some local vintage activity.
All of these cars are at least 50 years old. All flatheads or Offy's.
Notice how the 22 goes from starting last to 4th in 3 laps.
