Default Speeedometer

Well, just learned new lesson, thought because every thing seemed loose my old speedometer was ok, cost me and original cable, now I see all the of my speedos are stuck, probably from old grease and such. Any suggestions on how to get all that cleaned without disassembly?

Send it to one of the half-dozen speedo guys listed on the Front page of this forum.

Sometimes you can get the magnet loosened up without taking everything apart. But it will usually stick again and break something when the odometer tries to turn over a big number. For it to work properly for many miles everything needs to be taken apart, the old hard grease cleaned out and new lube applied then put back together PROPERLY. You will need several special home made tools to do this. Then you will need special equipment to calibrate it properly.
