Individual wood pieces
Is anyone aware of who sells "individual" Model A wood parts? Not kits.. Specifically looking for drivers door jam (the small piece) for a 1929 Model A pickup, closed cab.

Re: Individual wood pieces
My shop makes specific pieces when we are redoing a car/truck, but I do not have patterns. We would need the old piece in question to remake it

Re: Individual wood pieces
AT work but there is Brothers A Wood in AZ-I think. Not dealt with them and I think there is 'Ford Wood' as well. I can get you POC for the first if you want.

Re: Individual wood pieces
I went to Fordwood.com and they show very limited - less than 20 - different parts. Or maybe the website is just challenging
Brothers wood in Arizona looks like for furniture, not finding model A wood manufaturer |

Re: Individual wood pieces
I’ve seen a lot of ash. But prefer hard maple when I make my own which I usually do.
There was a blight on ash for awhile but seeing it again available. |

Re: Individual wood pieces
Ash is the preferred wood of body builders. It does not swell with moisture or splinter like oak in an accident. Morgan in Britain still uses ash. Hurry up before the Chinese Emerald Ash Borer get to them. This is very much like the Chestnut plague of a century ago. Classic wood in North Carolina is a good supplier.

Re: Individual wood pieces
I have factory drawings and old wood patterns for the vehicles I work on. Principally cabby, a400 and 189a
Sorry I don’t have either for your vehicle |
