Help with the HAMB
Just registered (I think) on the HAMB because I want to buy something. Can't figure out how to "Post" a message or reply to an ad. It doesn't seem to be like here where you can send a pm. If I try to post an ad, there doesn't seem to be a way to "Post" the ad.
Help please. Paul |

Re: Help with the HAMB
If you want to post a wanted ad, go the "Wanted" section of the classified ads, there is a big red box on the right side opposite the heading. To message someone, go to the envelope at the top right of the page.

Move your cursor onto their avatar, and a menu will show up.
Click on "start a conversation" .

Re: Help with the HAMB
I'm not sure that you are allowed to post to an add on the HAMB. Ryan prefers that folks PM the seller for a direct private transaction. The HAMB is a bit different that this site. The format on this site is like the old HAMB was.

Re: Help with the HAMB
The HAMB format was updated several years back and is very different for the Barn (which was similar to the old HAMB format). I am ok with both, but the updated HAMB format has a lot of increased capabilities that are nice to use. It just takes a little bit to get accustomed to it.

Re: Help with the HAMB
When you reply to the person as 51 Merc posted, the person receiving the pm will be notified at his email from the HAMB. also if he replies to you,you will be notified by email.
At least that is the way it works for me. John |

Re: Help with the HAMB
Couple "good" things about HAMB conversations; you can attach pictures, etc and a long conversion lays out more linearly. The email notification is nice, too.

Re: Help with the HAMB
I hated it when they updated the "H.A.M.B." and fought it for a long time. Now I wish they'd upgrade this site to that software.

I have absolutely NO PROBLEM attaching pictures to PMs that I send, and have received such, as well. I HOPE,HOPE and HOPE that we do NOT change the 'Barn over to the H.A.M.B. format...too many convenient and familiar features here on the FordBarn as-is. Love it like it is, Ryan!!!!!DD |

Re: Help with the HAMB
Ok, how do you attach photos to PM, that would be helpful to know!! I like the HAMB format, lots of nice features, but easy enough to live with both.

Re: Help with the HAMB
I think you can attach pictures in they are in an album you have on here. I find it very cumbersome, and would rather just be able to directly attach them to the PM.

Re: Help with the HAMB
51merc, that's on the HAMB, correct? Simple there, the Barn is the one I had the question on. You can attach a file with an http address, but don't see a way to a attach files directly.
