Running Board Trim
My ‘30 Coupe has repro running boards with stainless steel trim. I’d like to change it over to zink. Bob Burdick doesn’t think his will work on repos. I see Sacramento Ford has zink trim for repro boards. Has anyone had experience with their product? Any suggestions on how to remove the trim on my boards?

I put zinc trims on my 1930 Coupe when I restored the car 10 years ago trying to get the original look.. Dont do it . They are a pain in the you know what. They tarnish and oxidize so quickly and look ugly. I have to polish them with chrome polish once a month otherwise they turn grey and spotty and look ugly. I would go stainless if I was to restore the boards again. Maintenance free. Mark. |
