Looking to ID parts
I am looking to ID some parts if possible. The mirror says 09A-17690 on the bracket, but certainly does not look like it came from a 1940 Mercury.
Not sure about the hood hinge? It’s 3” across at the hinge handle. The headlight SS trim is approx. 7.5” outside diameter. Not sure what years the gas caps came from, but the black one fits my 1939 Ford. The other two looks to fit a smaller diameter gas tube. Thank You Joseph Last edited by Bazooka Joe; 03-01-2020 at 02:32 PM. |

Re: Looking to ID parts
Three guys formed the GUIDE Motor Lamp Company in Cleveland in 1906 with a total of $300. General Motors bought them out in 1928 to form the GUIDE Lamp Corporation. In 1929, Guide re-located to Anderson, Indiana. To its own lamp operations were added those of the Delco-Remy Corp. Both are names associated with GM for many years now. DD |

Re: Looking to ID parts
Looks a little like a 46-48 Plymouth with the rib, but not quite, I have what looks like 49 Ford SS headlights rims, and a FO-MO-CO PT 04 13045-C CAST rim, they look exactly the same except the 13045 is cast while the other is SS?

Re: Looking to ID parts
Guide lamp and BLC (Brown-Lipe-Chapin) were both divisions of GM. Guide lamp made the M3 series "grease gun" submachine guns during the war. Both divisions made headlamps but Guide made a lot of different lamp fixtures over the years. Passing lamps on the American motorcycles were mostly made by Guide Lamp for many years.

Re: Looking to ID parts
It also could be a spot light ring, seeming to be a little smaller than most headlamps.

Re: Looking to ID parts
I bet the mirror bracket is Ford/Merc, but the head has been changed. I also concur the hook hook is 32.
