What a tragedy! My condolences are joined to Mitch's.

This is a sobering reminder of how quickly a nice drive can go so bad.

Condolences to the family members. This reminded me of another T crash in Utah killing a Minnesota woman in 2013. http://www.startribune.com/local/217193941.html . In that accident it seems as though the wooden spokes collapsed after the car hit the shoulder of the road, thus rolling the car over. Sad story for all.

So far, I've not seen a report on this accident that makes it clear whether this was a restored car or a rod. Comments by a police officer quoted on one of the Model T forums indicates that the car had "improvements".

Perhaps we'll know for sure in a day or so.

It's a tragedy in either case, of course.

Latest news story in the Lancaster, PA, paper contains this quote: "It was a bucket roadster," Forney said. "It had no doors, you had to crawl in it, and was a two-seater."

Sounds more and more like a '23 T street rod, as opposed to a restored original T.
